Not to turn this forum into the food channel or anything, but I thought some men on here would like this recipe. Might be as close to heart attack on a plate as you can get.

Only in Louisiana

Handmade ground beef patties, topped with sharp cheddar cheese, wrapped in a bacon weave, then the next step, add hotdogs as the heads, legs with slits for toes and tail.

Next step. Place on an oven rack, covered loosely with foil and baked for 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees. A little crispy, not too crunchy...just how a turtle should be, no?

Spyder, this might go over better than yote jerkey

Everything's better with bacon wrapped around it.

Those are funny, and great at the same time, trying to figure out how to do a giraffe.. or at least some other animals..
Is that an extra long bacon? and how many lbs of beef each?

I printed out the directions & photos and handed them over when I was asked what I wanted for supper. Maybe we have a new category: RoadKilled Coon-Ass Turtle Burgers? Anyway, that's the first time I ever remember having 4-digit triglycerides levels.

Improper bacon weave, poor toe formation, but more importantly, it looks like the bacon was underdone. Probably should have stayed in a bit longer.

HHAHAHAAA!! Fucking hilarious. I'll have to put pictures up of the bacon logs I made. Pretty much the same thing but not in turtle shape. Mine are woven bacon rolled around hash browns, melted cheese, avocado slices, a little bit of cayenne pepper and some chopped up spicey sausage. F'n good.

Oh, and normally I make home made sausage gravy and pour some over the top of it too...but didn't have time for that on the day of the bbq.
We did have lots of rattlesnake, beaver tail, elk, rocky mountain oysters, abalone and lots of other good shit though.
