So I got a new toy this weekend and I got a few questions. Its a Remington 700 Police Model, .308 26" barrel. It does not have the X-Mark Pro trigger on it, does this mean it is an older style gun? Is this trigger adjustable? Also, I am shopping for glass, has anybody actually used any of the Vortex scopes? This is the one im looking at http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vor ... ad-reticle , would like to keep it under $1000 if possible, any other recommendations? Thanks...

Nice rifle, I had one and loved it. Is the trigger smooth or does it have ribs? Any allen screws on it with clear coating over them? What ever orkan says, dont get a barska swat, trust me...
I would look into vortex and falcon scopes...

Trigger is smooth, no ribs. I like the features of the Vortex scope and the warranty, but never had a chance to pick one up and play with it.

The PST's aren't out yet... but they will be.

Will definitely be a leader in their price range.

That Vortex that Orkan talked me into buying is great. For 209 bucks, it's freaking awesome. I'll be shopping for new optics soon too, and will definitely be looking at more vortex stuff when its time.

Yeah, I'll be carrying them. Unsure on time frame yet. They are probably the most highly anticipated scopes to be released, ever. So I can't say if they will make enough of them right off.

My first order of business is to get one in my hands and see if they live up to the hype, and are worth the price of admission.
